Identity
This is my final reflection piece. I decided after changing my idea of what I was doing, I wanted to switch up my interpretation of the theme. This piece is a representation of how I see myself- my reflection in the mirror. It's four angles/emotions of my own face, but each look intentionally a little off and slightly different from each other. The tape on the third face represents how I'm never really sure what I look like, as from the rest of the piece I have no way of knowing what I really look like from another point of view. I chose cool, purple colors and a soft mint background to emphasize my skill with colored pencils and how I work best with unusual and unnatural colors in portraits. This is probably my favorite piece so far. This was the original idea for the reflection project, with the element of reflection being the snake's scales, but it wasn't working as well as I intended so I chose a different idea. I do like this piece, but it's not to my best ability and there's lots of unrealistic elements I don't like.
